TB-500 Dosage Calculator & Chart: Units, mL, Reconstitution & Vial Conversion

TB-500 dosage calculator and chart for units, mL, reconstitution, concentration, and vial conversion by GoalBMI Wellness.

TB-500 calculations can involve several measurements, including vial strength, reconstitution volume, injection volume, and U-100 syringe units. This TB-500 Calculator & Chart brings those mathematical conversions together in one place with an interactive calculator, dose-to-units chart, units-to-mL reference, and practical vial-based calculations.

Quick Answer

Enter the TB-500 vial strength, reconstitution volume, and the amount you need to convert to calculate concentration, mL, U-100 syringe units, and calculated portions per vial. The reference charts below compare common vial strengths, reconstitution volumes, concentrations, mL, and U-100 syringe-unit conversions.

Educational math tool only: TB-500 (thymosin beta-4 fragment) is not an FDA-approved drug for human use. This calculator does not recommend a dose, treatment schedule, route, or injection protocol. Do not use example values as medical instructions.

TB-500 Chart: mg, mL, Concentration & U-100 Units

The tables below show vial-based mathematical examples of how TB-500 vial strength and reconstitution volume change concentration, mL, and U-100 syringe-unit conversions. They do not establish an appropriate dose, treatment schedule, or protocol.

Important: FDA identifies thymosin beta-4 fragment (LKKTETQ), also known as TB-500, among bulk substances that may present significant safety risks in compounding. FDA states that it has not identified human exposure data for drug products containing this fragment and lacks important safety information. Do not use this page to determine whether TB-500 is appropriate for you.

U-100 Syringe Units and mL Conversion

A U-100 syringe represents 100 units per 1 mL. The unit number is a volume measurement, not a drug dose. The amount of TB-500 represented by that volume depends entirely on the concentration.

U-100 UnitsVolume
5 units0.05 mL
10 units0.10 mL
20 units0.20 mL
25 units0.25 mL
50 units0.50 mL
100 units1.00 mL

How the Calculator Performs the Conversion

The calculator divides the total vial amount by the reconstitution volume to determine concentration. It then divides the amount entered by that concentration to calculate mL. For U-100 display, the mL value is multiplied by 100.

Formula:
Concentration (mg/mL) = vial amount (mg) ÷ reconstitution volume (mL)
Volume (mL) = amount entered (mg) ÷ concentration (mg/mL)
U-100 units = volume (mL) × 100

1 mg of TB-500 = How Many Units?

There is no single answer without knowing the concentration. For example, as a mathematical conversion only, a 5 mg vial brought to a total volume of 2 mL has a concentration of 2.5 mg/mL. At that concentration, 1 mg occupies 0.40 mL, which corresponds to 40 units on a U-100 syringe. This example does not indicate that 1 mg is an appropriate dose.

TB-500 Calculator FAQ

What is TB-500?

TB-500 is commonly used to refer to a synthetic fragment of thymosin beta-4. FDA describes TB-500 as thymosin beta-4 fragment (LKKTETQ) in its compounding safety materials.

Is TB-500 FDA-approved for human use?

No. TB-500 is not an FDA-approved drug for human use. FDA has also identified safety concerns related to compounded products containing thymosin beta-4 fragment.

Does this calculator recommend a TB-500 dose?

No. It performs mathematical conversions only. The preset amounts and chart columns are examples used to demonstrate concentration, mL, and U-100 unit math.

Why can the same mg amount equal different syringe units?

Because syringe units represent volume. If the concentration changes, the volume needed to contain the same number of milligrams also changes.

What does mg/mL mean?

mg/mL is concentration: the number of milligrams contained in each milliliter of solution. For example, 5 mg divided by a total volume of 2 mL equals 2.5 mg/mL.

What does vial strength mean in the TB-500 calculator?

Vial strength is the total amount in the vial before the reconstitution calculation. Enter the mg amount shown on the vial label. The calculator combines that vial amount with the reconstitution volume you enter to calculate concentration.

Why does the same vial strength give different U-100 units with different reconstitution volumes?

Changing the reconstitution volume changes the concentration. For example, the same 5 mg vial will have a different mg/mL concentration when calculated with 1 mL versus 2 mL, so the corresponding mL and U-100 unit conversions also change.

How do U-100 syringe units convert to mL?

On a U-100 syringe, 100 units equals 1 mL, 50 units equals 0.5 mL, 25 units equals 0.25 mL, and 10 units equals 0.10 mL.

Can I use an online chart to decide how much TB-500 to take?

No. This chart is not a dosing protocol. FDA has not approved TB-500 for human use and has identified important safety-information gaps. Do not use an online conversion chart to decide whether to use TB-500 or how much to take.

Can I print or save my calculation?

Yes. The calculator includes Copy Results, Download / Save PDF, and Print Results controls for the mathematical calculation displayed on the page.
